This is probably one of the weirdest releases ever because the movie Ghost Rider craze with Nicholas Cage has ended far longer than I can remember, but well, Carter Slade as the first Ghost Rider is here, and I cannot be happier.
The figure itself is impressive! It is every bit Ghost Rider, from the fiery skull to the Texas Cowboy inspired costume. Another big plus to this figure is that you can purchase the "Ghost Steed" separately. You have to have both Carter Slade and the steed to make sense of the purchase.
The Ghost Steed is basically a statue, but it has a gimmick where you can plug it via USB and its upper flames will glow eerily (perfect for Halloween).
However, if there is a downside, I did not particularly find a place for Slade's alternate look (human version). It did come with a really cool diecast metal shovel (BTW, the shotgun accessory is also diecast), but for now, I still cannot find a place for him, unless I get a Western themed backdrop with other 1/6 scale figures.
Another unique thing with the figure is that the Rider version did not come with alternate hands, but instead the hands are soft and rubbery, so you can just slip objects with it. What it lacks for gestures, it makes up for efficiency.
The entire thing did not come with a manual, so you might need to search the net on how to assemble things like the saddle for the Ghost Steed.
All in all, I would recommend this figure just because Ghost Rider figures are one of the rarest things in the world, and having this available now is just pure luck.
A really good Ghost Rider will add authenticity to your collection. Every beginner collector will have Ironman, Batman, Spider-man, Darth Vader, etc. in his collection ... make yours standout with Carter Slade, as the first Ghost Rider.
