So, this figure comes with some good, and some bad stuff ... although it still boils down to the fact that this is probably the best K'1/6 figure we will ever get, and judging on the series' declining popularity, it will probably also be the last.
First the good stuff ... the base stand, build quality, basic articulation, and costume are on point. Add that with a way to insert K' signature glasses securely after removing a part of the hair and inserting the glasses in the slot created for it.
Another bonus is that the front part of the box is magnetic and can be detached to serve as a backdrop. It is impressive, and it makes me wonder why more companies don't do it.
Now, the bad. There really is nothing much I can say except for the fact that this just does not look like K' ... I mean, it is a representation of the character, but if you are as big a fan as I am (I played KOF '99 a LOT), you will find that the skin color and the face just isn't The Beast of Prey, as we know him.
He seems like a boy band version, of a supposedly 'bad boy' character lol
Add with that with having very limited swappable hands, only 1 head sculpt and that the figure has understandable limitations on doing kicks.
And the final downside is that the body proportions are not on point. K' has this slight hunchback posture that this figure's body does not have, I wish they made a custom body for him,
But, despite all of that ... this is the best we can get on a 1/6 K' ... and despite the nitpicks, I still would get this character again, just because I want a representation of KOF in my shelf.
This figure was made for diehard KOF fans ... I mean, you have to love KOF very much to even think of getting a 1/6 figure from a franchise that's fast losing popularity in pop culture.
Toysremz, as always, packed the item well, updated me through the entire shipping process and even made sure I made this review *LOL* because that's how much he cares.
I am glad he decided to carry niche items like this, because hey ... We have to have that one shelf that's made for characters only we know.
